Why yes I AM grumpy, thanks for noticing.
Just one of those days today. I tried bathing Ziggy for his first show tomorrow (and yes, I'm well aware that a Nog Mog should NOT be done the day before, thanks APN you won't need to point that out to me) and he went totally ballistic, so I only managed to get his tummy wet, no shampoo or anything. He was really calm while I dried him off, though; possibly because he plays at my feet while I dry my hair so the hair dryer is old news to him.

And then I had to go up the street this afternoon. Stopped at the BP for petrol and it was $1.62 a litre! I was sure it was down to $1.39 yesterday all the way along Mains Rd. What happened there? I suppose I shouldn't complain as I only need one tank a month these days, but still it seemed a bit excessive. City Farmers ate up over $100 on my credit card with kitten dry food and litter, and then I exceeded my budgeted amount on my grocery shop as well. When did everything get so expensive?

On top of everything else I'm battling to adjust to my new glasses. I know it will take time, I just wish it would hurry up. And it's wet, wet, wet, and supposed to be wet again tomorrow. It can rain all week Monday to Friday and I wouldn't care, but give me sunshine on my weekends please.

Isn't it strange how firstly there was a trend towards smaller and smaller mobile phones, but now they are getting bigger all the time? My work phone is a Sony Ericsson which would only measure a few centimetres across and about eight centimetres long; my (newer) personal phone is a Nokia which is roughly the size of an iphone 4S, and the latest Samsung Galaxy III is so much bigger again. I got an email from my mobile service provider offering a really good deal on the new Samsung but I don't want to carry around a phone quite that big. I wonder if the trend will ever reverse again.

*g* *hugz to you* I truly didn't know that about Nogmogs, M - that they shouldn't be bathed the day before a show, so I have learnt something, haven't I? (said in best "South Park" voice) :) Oh dear, sounds like Mr Ziggy is going to have to learn that water is a good thing and that he'll just have to get over it ... LOL! Now to put you into a good mood, please go read my latest posting ... I'm sure it will bring a smile to your face as it's the first part of a few-part series on the CHSS Debacle of 2012 - with photos!

As for petrol prices ... they're always up and down. I don't have an idea of what they are at the moment (P fills the cars up), but have seen that the prices are getting quite ridiculous. And as for everything else, it's just getting waaaaaaaaaaaaay beyond ridiculous, isn't it? *sad face*

ETA: Good luck, Little Ziggy, at your first show tomorrow! Hope you do very well too. :)

Well there ya go, I don't know why I thought you'd know that you're supposed to bath a Nog at least a week before show date, otherwise they go all cotton-wooly which is hardly the correct texture for their coats!
I did read your last post, and am looking forward to the rest of the saga. Can't say it made me smile, though; I was cringing in horror at the thought of what happened to you! :-(

Zig acquitted himself okay with three eighth places, at least he was consistent! *g* Most importantly he behaved himself, in fact he was a little trooper! Didn't even try to hide under his cushion.

Haha, it's hard enough to work out how to bath a Turkish and they are supposed to be the famous swimming cats! Mussi hates the hairdryer and mucks up - Bibz couldn't give a stuff - and we've not been game to give Miz Diva a bath yet!! However, they aren't too bad to actually bath and they dry pretty quickly - funny little critters that they are. :)

Haven't had a chance to continue The Saga, due to not being home last week (only got home on Wednesday night from Maureen's place) as we were helping with Federal. This lappy worked overtime! Ah yes, the cringe factor was definitely there, wasn't it, but the worst part was waiting for P to come back and standing by the side of the road with the trailer, having people pointing and being dicks. Yes, I did say a lot of words back ...

Yay for Zig doing well for himself at his first (?) show - good to see he was such a good little trouper too. Yay, Ziggy Man! :D

Yes, it was his first show. Bathing may well prove optional for future entries too.

At least when washing a dog you can use your alpha status to make it stand there. I can't imagine how shredded you could get trying to shampoo a cat... there was enough shredding involved just trying to help my flatmate give her cat a tablet.

I think the phones have got bigger again because people seem to want to watch video on them. I just want to be able to call people. *g*

Heh. The secret to giving a cat a tablet is... gardening gloves. Now you know! *g*
As for bathing, usually they're not too bad once their claws have been clipped (although I do have a four centimetre scar along one palm from a girl who violently objected!) I was just really amused that he hated the water but didn't mind the hair dryer at all; it's usually the other way around.

We used to drop her cats in the middle of a large blanket and then wrap them up, burrito style, until just their head was sticking out. Just having the teeth to deal with really helped. :D

Oh dear! Ziggy doesn't like bathtime. I would love to have been a fly on the wall, watching you battling him. With all the weather we had yesterday, you should have just squirted him with shampoo, then chucked him out in the rain. *bg*

How they can justify putting petrol prices up and down the way they do, I just don't know. Quite ridiculous, like the price of groceries.

I'm with Drayce, all I need a mobile phone for is to make phone calls when I'm not at home.

I hope Ziggy behaved himself today and did well. ♥

Oh you used the butterfly-butt icon! That is just the cutest thing.
I have a handheld spray attachment on the laundry tap which I use for cat baths, but I couldn't hold him in the tub. He was twisting so badly (and howling!) that I was worried he would injure himself so I ended up just throwing a towel around him and cuddling him until his breathing and heart rate settled down. Poor little kid; he sits on the side of the bath while I have a shower so I didn't think he'd react quite that badly.
And he behaved like an angel at the show. In the first ring he was a bit hesitant, and came out with his tail between his legs, but after that he settled and was content enough to come out for judging. I hope his good behaviour continues. :-)
