Puss comes to visit.
I have a crisis-care cat here tonight. No idea how long I'll have her; her owner, an elderly gentleman who apparently lives in his car, has gone into hospital for surgery. She needed someone to look after her on a (hopefully) temporary basis so here she is, via Little Paws Kitten Rescue. She's a pretty little thing, a white semi-longhair about three years old, with the ever-so-original name of Puss.

She's decided that the igloo bed is the place to be. So far she's met Ziggy and Bodie and been spectacularly unimpressed, while they've kept their distance, being warned off by her hissing. Hopefully they'll get used to each other soon. She really is a dear little lady.

I'm so glad for both her and her owner that they have you to look after her. ♥

I'm so glad that organisations like Little Paws exist, otherwise god knows what would have happened to this little girl.

Is she accepting cuddles from humans? Because she looks oh so cuddleable. <3

Sadly she's not yet accepting anything other than a cheek scratch. Touching her anywhere else results in a hiss. One step at a time I guess.

No, she's not deaf. Usually the white masking gene has to present in conjunction with blue eyes for deafness to occur. The gene responsible for lack of pigmentation in eyes also inhibits the correct development of the ear, usually resulting in deafness. This girl however has yellow-amber eyes, and good hearing.

Oh that's such a shame. Being deaf she probably didn't even know the car was approaching.
My Tang is deaf, which is why I had him desexed. He was originally a stud cat and I had a few litters from him before I realised he wasn't just ignorant, he actually didn't hear me coming!

She is lovely! Making herself right at home, which is lovely. Seems like she's keeping your two young punks at bay quite well. *g*

That poor man, living in his car with his cat, sounds like he needs some TLC too. Hope his operations goes OK and he and Puss soon can be reunited.

It's sad to think, isn't it, that he lives in his car... at least he won't have to worry about his little mate.

Bodie and Zig really don't know what to make of her. Ziggy gets all grizzly whenever he sees her, while Bodie bolts into the kitchen, grabs food and bolts out again, watching her the whole time. I hope they settle down together soon.
