Can I have my weekend now please?
Absolutely insane week at work this week, probably the busiest I've had at this branch. Business has been increasing steadily over the last few weeks - since Christmas I've put in over 13 extra hours, and had hoped to duck out early today but just couldn't get away.

Going out tomorrow so had to do a lot of my normal Saturday things tonight. So now the downstairs cat areas are scrubbed, my car is washed, and I'm ready for the weekend to begin.

There's some sort of a party going on two doors down. It started before I got home tonight, and I've been reluctantly listening to a lot of rap and hip hop. I wouldn't mind so much if the artists knew more than one chord; boring monotone is boring!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend, whether you're in the snowy UK, or the USA, or here in sunburnt Australia. Sydney had its highest recorded temperature EVER today; 46.5C is hot even by my standards. I hope we don't cop those temperatures tomorrow. We were hot, at 34C, and that's enough for me.

Just for comparison's sake? Here, at 8h30 in the morning, it's -25C

:-)

Enjoy your week-end!

Oh shush that's not a real temperature! *g*
You have a good weekend too. At least you have a brilliant excuse not to get outside and do stuff.

It is, too, a real temperature! And I'm not even adding in the wind factor :-)

The groceries, alas, must be bought, whatever the temperature outside :-(
And I'll have to go out later to put away the garbage bin...

Brrrr!

OTOH? I don't have snakes in my driveway :-)

And that's probably the only positive thing about the cold!

I'm sorry you've had such a busy week and hope your weekend plans will make up for it.

That Sydney temperature is amazing.

Isn't it, though. My sister in Sydney had both her air conditioners running all day and at 7pm the temperature in her house was 30C still. Way too hot!

Weekend plans are a) cat council meeting, followed by b) do nothing. I think that will do nicely.

Please don't catch fire!!! That's hot by anyone's standards and seriously uninhabitable by mine, I'd be flying south, way south. O:

Managed not to combust, although when getting into my car after it sat in the sun for four hours I thought I was going to burn up. Temp in the car was nearly 50C! Aircon soon brought it down though.
It's now a balmy 27 degrees outside, much cooler inside with aircon blasting. Wishing for some of your snow, though!

And I wish I could send you some. I do love the snow, I am a creature of the cold. Must be a legacy of my Viking ancestors, I can stand almost any amount of it, but I can't hack the heat. 25 degrees and I become a total waste of oxygen.

And God bless air con! We never had it in Cuba, those summers nearly killed me. Stay cool, baby.
