New Who
I was soooo looking forward to this! Not enough to get up at 4.50am so I could watch at the same time as it aired in the UK, mind, but enough to go to the cinema so I could see it on the big screen.

Wore my Wholock shirt, too:

Just because I could.

From his confused ramblings at the start, right through to the hugging at the end, I loved Peter Capaldi. Eyebrows! And the face... I wonder if that will be a thread throughout this series, the doctor wondering what he's trying to tell himself by choosing that particular face.

I did think the "please see me" speech was a bit overdone, and aimed at the audience rather than at Clara, but then again it brought tears to my eyes so there you go.

Not so sure I liked the new theme music, or the TARDIS refit, but will get used to them I guess. I did enjoy seeing Vastra, Jenny and Strax again, they're cool. And with Moffat being so overly-clever with his plots at times, I did find myself wondering if the doctor would leave Clara behind, thereby setting her up to be rescued by Eleven when she was being attacked by snow creatures... but that would have been too timey-wimey even for Moffat I think.

Looking forward to the rest of the season, it will be an interesting ride.

Shame I can't get Dr. Who. The last time I saw the show was David Tenant's farewell to the series...

PS, love the shirt!

Oh that's a pity!
For the last six months I've been having regular Friday night re-watch of the tenth doctor, and venturing into Eleven whom I've not watched before, just to get ready for this new doctor.

Love the t-shirt! *vbg*

The hugging at the end! I loved the hugging at the end too, and I'd forgotten all about it! This is why I need to watch it again and again and again!

Actually I think that would have been brilliant - and just the sort of timey-wimeyness that I love! *g* Although I guess Clara would presumably have closed her own loop then, and really would have died at the end of that ep...

Yeah, I think it might have raised more problems for the authors in terms of continuity. Could have been fun though.

... and by authors I meant scriptwriters. You knew that, of course. *g*

I liked the new theme and the new interior, but the script was a bit of a blunt instrument at times. Love Capaldi!

That "please see me" speech was very heavy-handed, I thought. Plus the whole scene where Vastra is scolding Clara for not having faith - Moff's basically having a go at fans who may not have been prepared to give Capaldi a go. In fact a LOT of the episode seemed to be geared towards that end. Still loved it though.

I love Capaldi anyway so I wasn't very surprised to love him as the Doctor.

I do wish they'd let up a bit on the AGE blah AGE blah blah blah bit but hopefully it'll settle down.

There was a lot of that, wasn't there. I felt at times like I was being scolded by Moffat for daring to equate the doctor persona with a young face. I for one didn't want a young doctor so it was wasted on me - I just found it annoying.

I started to watch it on iView on Sunday, then forgot the time to when it was on TV. Really must go back to iView.

I really love your shirt! So that was another explanation; Dr Who to the rescue.

Oh you must watch the rest. I haven't given much of the plot away here so you should enjoy it still.

Very cool shirt, yeah! Nice to have a meaningful opportunity to wear it.

im not really in to dr who but you obviously are with your t shirt (very nice it is too) and our neighbours from a few doors down are true fans , sporting a full size dalek and a k9 in their house with a full size cyberman in the back garden . i wish i could have a full size bodie in our house xx

A full-size Bodie would be quite the thing, wouldn't it? Of course then you'd need a full-size Doyle to keep him company when you weren't home. *g*
