That awkward moment...
... when you're in the supermarket and a song you like starts playing on the instore radio, and you start doing a little dance as you push your trolley down the aisle and then someone comes around the corner into the same aisle. I didn't care how awkward it was, today, I just kept dancing and singing along.

When I upgraded my phone back in April, the new one came with a six months' free subscription to Netflix which had only just launched in Australia. It wasn't something I thought I'd use, at first, but I've succumbed to temptation and when the six months is up I'm seriously considering subscribing. Especially while I was on holidays I found myself more and more turning the telly on at night and looking for something to watch.

One show I thoroughly enjoyed was The Thick of It - started watching for Peter Capaldi and later Roger Allam but got totally sucked into the stories. Now I've started House of Cards, both the US and the UK versions, and also the occasional movie - I think I must be the last person in the western world to actually watch Mean Girls!

Hee, and yeay for singing and dancing in supermarkets! *g*

I've been meaning to watch The Thick of It for ages... I've been wondering about Netflix lately - my landlady in Cambs. had a subscription that I used sometimes, but I don't know if I'd use it enough here. What I really want to see is Outlander, and I hate that it's been locked up by Amazon. All very well that you can get it via Amazon Prime, but apparently my telly doesn't support Amazon Prime, so - gargh! So I wait again for the dvds... Doesn't seem right when the series was filmed over here...

I didn't know that there had been a series made of Outlander. Bummer about Amazon Prime having it. I'm only just learning about all these options like Amazon Prime, and locally Stan and Presto. Isn't it wonderful to have choice, though!
Do watch The Thick of It if you are interested in political dirty tricks, or even just for the cast. I know I'll watch it again just to pick up on bits I missed the first time around.

Hahaha! I've never watched Meant Girls!

Oh I've been caught grooving in the aisles at the grocery store, singing mostly. I just ignore people if they look at me strangely. But I do smile back at the ones who like what I'm doing.

There was chemist in the mall where I once worked and all the mall employees would go there to get sodas and snacks on break, but also to listen to the great music they played. Really made you feel better before you had to go back to work. :D

Oh then I feel much better! I thought I must have been living under a rock, based on the strange looks I got yesterday when telling family and friends what I had done the previous evening.

I often sing or whistle along to a favourite song when I'm out and about and I do try to ignore the stares :-)

Music really can change your mood, can't it. I know when we were insanely busy at work, before I took my holidays, I was taking my itouch into work and listening to Bach while I worked. I could feel my stress levels decreasing minute by minute.

As a musician I know music can help heal and relax on so many levels, so no you're not living under a rock.

There's a saying I've read, "Dance like no one is watching." We all need to do that once in a while! :D

I sing to myself a lot so I've got used to the stares anyway. *g*

We've been pondering Netflix just because there's less and less on TV that we want to watch and there are some interesting things that are only being broadcast on Netflix.

Another one! I'm feeling less strange by the minute. I have a constant soundtrack running in my head - if there's no music playing, then it will be the last song that I heard. And then there was the time I had Mull of Kintyre stuck in my head for literally months, it would not leave me. Drove me nuts!

Left to my own devices I wouldn't have worried about Netflix, but having been given the free trial and then as a result actually sitting down to explore it - yes, this is a needful thing.

Hehe I love the image of singing and dancing in the supermarket... I have been known to do it myself as well, from time to time.
Got to find our fun somwehere.

Netflix I LOVE. IT's so dangerous though, how it just plays the next episode and 'just one episode' leads to 'oh crap, I just lost 9 hours...' as you finish the entire season.

Netflix is a huge timesuck, yes, it's so easy to just keep watching.
