Things I Couldn't Have Survived Another Day Without Knowing

* Fried spiders are said to have a taste similar to nuts. Funny, I always thought they tasted more like chicken.

* In 1983, Japanese artist Tadahiko Ogawa made an accurate recreation of the Mona Lisa completely out of toast. As you do.

* On June 26, 1998, Danny Capps of Madison, Wisconsin USA, claimed the world record for spitting a cricket 9.17m Wonder how far the English bird spat Shane Warne? Or maybe she swallowed.

* The popular children's toy Mr Potato Head was first sold to the public in 1952.. There's something vaguely disturbing about generations of children amusing themselves by sticking plastic facial features onto a brown knobbly blob. Kinda like "toys for the friendless".
