Random Violin

(no subject)

I caught the tail-end of a tv game show tonight that asked the contestants to pair up names in two lists. As an example they used The Beatles first names in one list and their surnames in the second list. My initial reaction, that you would have to have lived under a rock not to know that one, soon gave way to bemusement. What other rock/pop band is so well-known that such a question is a total no-brainer? Maybe John Lennon wasn't that far off the mark when he remarked once that "The Beatles are more popular than Jesus."

The Zine Zone

I just composed an email about a fanzine - Spellcheck didn't recognise the word "zine" and suggested I replace it with "zone". As it was a The Sentinel zine, I find that highly appropriate.
(well it gave me a laugh anyway. I know, I know, I'm easily amused....)
