Precipitation

Rain, rain, glorious rain is falling as I type, and has been falling for close to two hours now. We've had a number of storms since Sunday night, enough to soak right into the parched ground rather than just rolling off, and now the weeds are standing up like prairie dogs across my back yard.
I like watching storms - the bursts of light like fireworks, and the tactile rumble of thunder beneath your feet as counterpoint to the flashes. I find them comforting in a way I can't articulate. Though I must admit I was cursing the one that woke me at 5am today.
