Dream on

Shannons held their Summer auction recently, and some of the cars that went under the hammer had me drooling, although the prices they fetched had a different effect altogether.
A 1968 HK GTS 327 Monaro "Bathurst" coupe in Warwick Yellow sold for $185,000 while a comprehensively-restored 1974 Holden LH Torana SLR 5000 L34 sedan brought $110,000, and a 1972 LJ Torana XU-1 achieved $85,000.
I always wanted an SLR 5000, or an A9X. Couldn't afford one then; certainly can't now.
