Growing things.

Got out into the garden today, for the first time in ages. I'd gone to the nursery yesterday and spent the GDP of a small third world nation on plants, and today was spent planting, potting, and re-potting a variety of growing things. The south side of my house now boasts a (small) English cottage garden (complete with the most divine-smelling lavender) and the garden near my back door looks better for the addition of some ground covers. I still have some work to do in the back corner of the yard, but most of it must wait until the side fence gets replaced (it, too, is full of white ants, and must go).
I have some yuccas that needed repotting but the pots I'd allocated for them are a bit too small, so tomorrow I'm off back to the nursery to buy some larger pots, and some smaller plants for the pots I already have. Also going to look for some petunias, for a large round ceramic pot I re-discovered today.
So tonight I'm stiff and sore, and very tired, but it's a good kind of tired. The kind that makes me feel justified in spending almost two hours actually watching a dvd instead of doing something constructive.
