Hailstones the size of golf balls

It's such a cliche but it's true - Logan was hit by a huge hailstorm this afternoon. The noise of the hail hitting the roof of the shopping centre where I work was tremendous; it was impossible to hear anything outside the drumming on the roof. Everyone in my branch rushed to the door to watch it, customers and all. I felt sorry for those people who had parked out in the open - the cardinal rule for Brisbane in the summer is to never park outside in the afternoon!
