The Glass, by thingswithwings
Following on from yesterday's post - this multifandom vid beautifully references Henry Jenkins' quote, and starts with the sequence my post yesterday referenced. Probably one of the best-known bits of film in the Star Trek universe.

What a brilliant explanation and one I shall be using in the future. Thanks. :D

Henry Jenkins really gets to the heart of the matter and explains well. Another quote of his that I love - and keep in front of my pc -

"Fan fiction is a way of the culture repairing the damage done in a system where contemporary myths are owned by corporations, instead of owned by the folk."

So the next time someone asks you what you're writing, you can tell them that you are contributing to the development of contemporary myths. *g*
