30 Days of Blogging - Day 25
My backyard, most mornings:

 photo ibis600x450_zps7058d502.jpg

A flock of ibis searching my yard for whatever it is that ibis eat. They inhabit the park behind my house and come over the fence on a scavenger hunt. My neighbours don't like them, and chase them out as soon as they land, but I enjoy watching them. Of course they fly off as soon as I go downstairs.

I'm not aware of an excess of snails, I only ever see the odd one about. I don't know what brings the ibis to my yard.

In which case they're entirely welcome.

I'm with you, that's a lovely view and I definitely wouldn't chase them off.

Funniest sight ever was when Bodie escaped from downstairs one morning; he went galloping out the back door then stopped in horror when he saw the birds, which are bigger than him, and then turned tail and galloped straight back inside again.

Ibis? What's not to like?

Neighbour reckons they're dirty birds that carry lice. I haven't had that experience though.

I would have thought that was hardly their fault, even if it's true!
