Advent calendar Day 21 - the longest day of the year.
It's the summer solstice here in Oz - sunrise at 4.50am and sunset at 6.43pm. On a day like today it's hard to imagine that it's downhill from here on, as the days gradually shorten into darkness and winter.
Of course in the northern hemisphere it's the opposite - from now on the daylight will slowly get longer as the sun lingers more each day.

Thank you, and how very even-handed! I am a solstice-celebrator, so I particularly liked these.

Do like the winter picture - I thik we have similar tastes in art!

All the best for those winter nights on the way :)

Hmmm.. it's funny to think of winter on the way when the days are in the low 30s, but we know it's coming. *does best Ned Stark voice*
