New Who
I was soooo looking forward to this! Not enough to get up at 4.50am so I could watch at the same time as it aired in the UK, mind, but enough to go to the cinema so I could see it on the big screen.

Wore my Wholock shirt, too:

Just because I could.

From his confused ramblings at the start, right through to the hugging at the end, I loved Peter Capaldi. Eyebrows! And the face... I wonder if that will be a thread throughout this series, the doctor wondering what he's trying to tell himself by choosing that particular face.

I did think the "please see me" speech was a bit overdone, and aimed at the audience rather than at Clara, but then again it brought tears to my eyes so there you go.

Not so sure I liked the new theme music, or the TARDIS refit, but will get used to them I guess. I did enjoy seeing Vastra, Jenny and Strax again, they're cool. And with Moffat being so overly-clever with his plots at times, I did find myself wondering if the doctor would leave Clara behind, thereby setting her up to be rescued by Eleven when she was being attacked by snow creatures... but that would have been too timey-wimey even for Moffat I think.

Looking forward to the rest of the season, it will be an interesting ride.

I love Capaldi anyway so I wasn't very surprised to love him as the Doctor.

I do wish they'd let up a bit on the AGE blah AGE blah blah blah bit but hopefully it'll settle down.

There was a lot of that, wasn't there. I felt at times like I was being scolded by Moffat for daring to equate the doctor persona with a young face. I for one didn't want a young doctor so it was wasted on me - I just found it annoying.
