Not too sure about this...
I was given a home log-in to my work desktop today, and I'm not really certain that it's a good idea. Up to now, on really busy days at work, I couldn't be expected to work of an evening as well. But now that I can access my work desktop from home, it's a little bit harder to get out of doing extra hours. Of course it would be a bonus if I was short of sick leave and had to work from home for a couple of days because I was too ill to go to work, but that's about the only advantage that I can see.
I'm so used to working with two screens, too, that it will be awkward and difficult to revert to just one. Might have to see if I can log in from my laptop, and connect my big monitor to that as well so I have both screens running.

I know exactly where you're coming from - and in my old job I'd have told them to shove it, but right now I'm feeling like it could be a good thing if I'm not feeling well but don't want to use up sick leave.
We have periods where work is really flat-out, and it's handy if you can log in from home and just get a couple of jobs out of the way, knowing that you'll get time in lieu. But like Drayce's friend (see above) I may find myself developing some very (in)convenient internet problems if it should start to be a regular occurrence.
