Not too sure about this...
I was given a home log-in to my work desktop today, and I'm not really certain that it's a good idea. Up to now, on really busy days at work, I couldn't be expected to work of an evening as well. But now that I can access my work desktop from home, it's a little bit harder to get out of doing extra hours. Of course it would be a bonus if I was short of sick leave and had to work from home for a couple of days because I was too ill to go to work, but that's about the only advantage that I can see.
I'm so used to working with two screens, too, that it will be awkward and difficult to revert to just one. Might have to see if I can log in from my laptop, and connect my big monitor to that as well so I have both screens running.

Sounds like you have it all worked out.

I don't intend to be walked over, or taken advantage of; there are drawbacks to having a remote login but I'm trying to focus on the positive. I know they'll make it up to me if I do work extra hours, I'm just not sure that I want to.
