I should be in bed...
..but I think I'm too wired to sleep. I stayed in the city after work tonight, and after a quick meal headed down to here:

The Queensland Performing Arts Centre, to see the most amazing dancers - where hiphop meets classical:

Bloody brilliant, it was.

Brisbane is so pretty at night, with all of the lights reflecting back onto the river.

Can you tell that I'm kind of in love with my city?

They were absolutely marvellous. Of course it wasn't the actual fashion night event but it was the same show with the same performers. Bach is my favourite composer and it was amazing to see how they welded baroque with break dance.

Back-flipping fairy would have made me grin too, I think. The sheer unexpectedness of it!

Brisbane looks very spectacular at night - by day it's an ordinary city, not really any different to any other city. But at night, when she puts on her paint and pearls, she's utterly transformed.

It's a new city to me, well when I say new it's been ten years now, but I used to come up here for cat shows a lot, and once my son moved here it seemed like the right place to be. I've lived in a LOT of places over the years - in fact I once did a google search of every place I could recall living, and posted about it here .

ETA: the first five are suburbs of Sydney, the next two are on different sides of the Blue Mountains, the following two are on the Central West (NSW) plains, and three prior to Brisbane are on the far north coast of NSW. Coffs Harbour was a beautiful place to live, I have to admit.
