I hope it works out for you... I'm sure you find the fannish decorating and cat helper very soothing. :D
Ideally I'd love a job where I worked something like three days at the office and two at home as I worry I'd become a complete hermit otherwise. Unfortunately my current job really wouldn't work that way.
It was fun seeing the start of your working day pop up on my flist as I won't be leaving work from your yesterday for another 30 minutes.
I hope you can concentrate on work with all that Sherlock presence surrounding you. Or maybe he is there to help you solve some problems? Or sooth you with violin music?
It would be great to work a few days a week from home. No getting into work uniform/clothes, no hassles with travelling; t'would be quite relaxing.
Sherlock presence decreased as soon as I logged into my remote desktop, and both monitors switched to work instead of Sherlock :-( . Ah well, would have been hard to concentrate otherwise.
I see you have your supervisor there watching and scrutinising. Hope it all goes well and that you are not too distracted as we all comment on your office!
It went really well, actually, except for the server dropping out twice and my pdf writer refusing to open after 2pm. And I wasn't distracted by comments; I managed to stay well away from both my inbox and the internet all day. Total work-focus, it was *g*.
And not the least was a cat on my lap for most of the day - although it got a bit distracting when I had to keep getting my headset cord out of his mouth.
Looks like The Boss is right there too, keeping an eye on your work as well (to right, in blue donut)! *g* Bodie could be a twin for our Kobe ... he's ginger and talks! My god, he can talk nonstop for ages! LOL Bought up with Siamese so perhaps that's where it comes from? LOL
