Is it still the weekend?
Today was a lot of fun. My sister had found a place that sells garden pots and statues, and wanted to buy a birdbath so she asked if I'd like to go with her. Oh boy, it did not do my credit card any favours. I bought the cutest dragon - his name is Ralph, apparently - and once I find his forever spot I'll take his photo and share here. Also a small curled-up sleeping dragon, a tiny turtle to go in my birdbath and a terracotta possum to hang on my rear deck.

One other thing they had, that I'd really like, is a letterbox made of stone and mounted on a concrete representation of a tree trunk, complete with possum popping out of a hole in the tree. That's on my wish list, for when Christmas is out of the way and I've saved the requisite cash. It's gorgeous!

Then off to see Paddington at the movies, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I won't say anything about the plot here, but I laughed, and worried, and nearly chewed my fingernails off in one spot. And Peter Capaldi was a dear, albeit a creepy one *g*.

Tonight I mainlined the first three episodes of Sleepy Hollow, which I really did enjoy. Looking forward to watching the rest of it now.

Hee! Would it surprise you to learn that I don't actually have a flower garden? Some flowering shrubs, yes, but no flowers per se. Do have a huge expanse of lawn though.

Do drag Sir along if you can. It's directed by Paul King, who directed The Mighty Boosh and while it's not surreal it really does have its moments. The start drags a bit but once he goes home with the Browns it's full-on.

What? Yes, it would! Or, at least... I know some Australians go down the 'if it's not native flora, I'm not planting it', but then... you wouldn't have a lawn, either...

In our climate natives are a good thing, but no - I have azaleas, and bromeliads, and China Doll with its bunches of purple flowers, and hibiscus but no actual flowerbeds. An oversight, I know *g*.
