LONDON: A cruise liner cancelled its voyage and flew 600 passengers back to Britain because the toilets on board had broken down.
The newly-refitted Thomson Celebration liner cut short its Mediterranean cruise in Lisbon after the plumbing in 250 cabins failed.
A fleet of three aircraft was sent to pick up the passengers, who flew into Bournemouth and Gatwick airports last night, a spokeswoman for Thomson said.
They had paid $2440 each for the voyage to France, Portugal and Spain. A spokeswoman said all passengers would get a refund.
